Sport interview

Ricky Rubio is one of the Spanish basketball players who currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA. He made his debut  in the Spanish ACB League at the age of 14, he became the youngest player ever in the league. You may see in the following video how he speaks English.

    In this video we can see an interview that was done to Ricky Rubio who one of the Spanish basketball players who currently plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves of the NBA.
    He starts saying he is very grateful for the invitation to the program and that his whole family played basketball and finally he started playing tennis because of this.
    When he was younger he practiced basketball and soccer and likes both sports but he preferred to play basketball because he and his brother used to play everyday after lunch.
    When he was 14 years old he started to play on a team for the first time and although everything was new to him, he felt well and continued to do what he liked. In the video Ricky Rubio also says that basketball in Europe is different than USA because in Europe there are more types of games but despite having small differences after all is basketball.
    In my opinion, Ricy Rubio is a great athlete despite being very young, I really like him because he has followed his dreams and now he can do what he really likes.

  2. Ricky Rubio started playing basket because all his family play it, he plays football too because is the famous sport but finally he choose basket. He played with his brother every day after lunch and he always lose because his brother was 2 years more.When he was fourteen he started to play with national team and he said that: “was exciting and he feeling good”, so he started too soon.
    For Ricky the difference that play in Europe and the NBA is that in Europe you play around 43 match for season and in America you are playing like 3 or 4 match for week, so he said that the big difference is that in the NBA you need to be more prepared physically.
    I think that is a very good player and a good person, I like so much.

    He started to play basketball because all his family played it; after lunch he used to play a lot.
    He started to play in the Spanish ACB League when he was fourteen years. Also he had been on The Olimpic Games.
    Currently, he plays on the NBA, in Minnesota Timberwolves team.

    The presenter startas saying that, for him, it’s a pleasure to stay with Ricky who is in California for the first time and who is happy because he plays in the NBA.
    Ricky says that, when he was younger, his family played backetball and he used to played with his father and old brother after having lunch everyday. He played basketball and another sport but he preferred playing basketball.
    He started to play in a team when he was fourteen years old and it made him feel good because everything was new for him. Some years later he started playing in the National team and he says that nowadays his team is very happy because it has won some prizes and he says that it’s not easy to do that. His team is algo going to the Olympic Games in London next year and they are too exciting for that fact.
    He also says that, in Spain, basketball is different because here there are more kind of games and players play match more times than in USA where players play three or four times for week. In USA, basketball is more physical.
    Ricky thinks that this sport is something that everyone can enjoy and can feel.
    Finally, the presenter talks about the date and the hour of the next match. Ricky is going to play on Sunday at 6.00 pm

    I really like this player because I think he is a really good person and he seems friendly as I can watch in the video. I hope we will get all his goals because he looks like a figther of his dreams.

    I do sport and I love a lot of them, but also, I hate several sports; basketball is one of them, so I think it’s a boring interview!!!

    For me, an amazing thing is the early age with sportwomen and sportmen start to play on important teams, as Ricky Rubio. He only was fourteen years old when he made his debut in the Spanish ACB League!!!

    In my opinion, Ricky Rubio has better pronuntation than Rafa Nadal.
